The causes of nosebleeds are many. There is not much difference between men and women when it comes to the occurrence of nosebleeds.

The causes range from simple ones like a child putting his finger in nose and thereby hurting the mucus membrane which is very sensitive. The capillary structure of the nose is very delicate and strong trauma even hard sneezing can cause nose bleeding. Environmental factors like the allergens and common irritation or sometimes the dryness can also cause it. Nasal infections, foreign bodies in the nose or hard blowing of the nose can cause the nose to bleed.
