Though people who are physically fit have a lower blood pressure as compared to other people but in some cases low blood pressure can indicate some serious ailment. The blood pressure could become low due to many reasons like heart disease, dehydration, infection, pregnancy, medication, endocrine problems, blood loss or some deficiency in nutrition. It is seen that during the first 24 weeks of the pregnancy, the blood pressure drops in women. Medicines for heart problems, Parkinson’s disease and some other problems can cause low blood pressure. Heart problems also result in restricting the flow of blood in the body which results in low blood pressure.
