Leukemia is the cancer of the blood or bone marrow which produces blood cells. The causes of different types of leukemia are different as per the medical experts. These include artificial ionizing radiation, chemotherapy used in previous treatment of cancer, family history, and electromagnetic energy.

Besides these there are some other causes that are strongly suspected to be behind leukemia. People using hair dye and those suffering from Down syndrome are also at a higher risk of leukemia.
