Dreams are a way of the body to balance the events of the recent past. It is a natural function common to all mammals. Many people believe that the food we eat before going to sleep has some link with dreams but the reality is that the research done so far reveal that dreams occur while we are soundest part of our sleep called the REM cycle of sleep. It is a neurological function that is required for proper sleep. We don’t know yet how dreams start physically or which parts of the brain take part in the initiation of the dreams but it is estimated that the emotional centres of the brain will be behind dreams. Sleeping without dreams would disrupt our life and we could suffer from many psychological problems
